Sam Curtain is a 12 year old nerd with an over active imagination and the school bullies have him in their sights.

In an attempt to put his undoubted talents to good use, his parents Hal and Sally sign him up for Miss Jessop’s drama classes. At first Sam is not so keen but soon finds that he is good at this acting and thrives. Very quickly he and his family are caught up in the world of auditions and professional acting while also trying to resolve the very real drama in their own lives.
